Oh, hi there!

My name is Paulina, thanks for stopping by. If you're curious about the person behind the camera, that would be me!

Where to begin. Well, I'm a literature nerd, a painter, and have a weird love for birds. I dislike citric smells (prefer floral scents much more), and I've been told at times that I resemble a hurricane because I can never sit still. I'm a romantic and a dreamer but will never pass up an opportunity to crack a joke. If you ever need to find me, try a museum or a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop.

Ever since I was a kid I was perplexed by the details that made up my surroundings - the way the trees shed their leaves and the sky switched colors, the way my mother moved while she cooked, the way my skin reacted to certain music...the gestures that made every day life...magnificent.

I also loved to listen. I'm an open book, so friends and strangers alike would confide experiences and feelings easily to me. And while I listened...I watched. Watched faces change and morph into metaphors as emotions would slowly but surely come afloat.

That's when I came to realize that there's nothing quite as beautiful as vulnerability.

Having studied graphic design formally followed by a masters degree in neuropsychology, my sensitivity to detail increased, and so did my desire to photograph everything that makes people, people.  So I began making portraits.

Driven by the prospect of capturing connection, captivated by "the human experience" and the concept of fleeting time, I came to the conclusion that being able to preserve a moment, to lock it in time is, to me, by far one of the greatest privileges there is.

My favorite thing to photograph will forever be weddings. But why weddings? Is it the flowers? The gowns? Not at all. It's the level of complex, heightened, raw, jaw-dropping emotions that people go through on the day they join their lives with someone elses. Because in a world where everything is constantly changing, choosing someone to share the good and the bad, the exciting and the dull, joys and fears...is truly something worth celebrating.

If you'd like to know more, I'd love to grab a cup of coffee (or two) with you! <3
